Singular Health Group has had its flagship 3Dicom software included in a purchasing contract awarded to an approved vendor for healthcare IT equipment and software to service more than 16,000 organisations in the United States.

The InterLocal Purchasing System (TIPS) has designated Seventeen Consulting as its preferred vendor for pre-qualified purchasing organisations across the US for a five-year term ending in July, 2028. TIPS provides a proven process to eliminate purchasing-related stress for entities including private, state and federal-run teaching hospitals, universities and healthcare institutions.

Seventeen Consulting is a partner operating under Singular’s newly-appointed US distributor, CG1 Solutions. The award process consolidates requests for tenders and quotations by pre-qualified purchasing entities on a single platform and requires vendors to go through an extensive vetting and competitive award process to respond to the existing requests.

Singular’s 3Dicom medical device allows medical practitioners such as dentists, surgeons and radiologists to convert conventional two-dimensional MRI, CT and PET scans into immersive 3D images. The change provides a clearer insight into a patient’s medical problems and enables better surgical planning.

"We commend the Seventeen Consulting team with being awarded this competitive contract, of which 3Dicom is an integral component of the service offering. While this is not immediately revenue generating, the vast number of pre-registered hospital, universities, and organisations that will have access to listed products, and the five-year length of the contract, provides a solid commercial outlook". The 3Dicom software’s origins date back to 2017 when Perth gynaecological oncologist Dr Jason Tan wanted a clearer picture of a female patient’s medical issues before she underwent complex surgery. Dr Tan hired gaming developers to bring to fruition his idea of viewing 2D scans in 3D.

3Dicom was approved last October by the powerful US Food and Drug Administration for sale in America, where the medical imaging market was estimated two years ago to be worth more than $1 billion. In November, the company cleared the final regulatory hurdle to sell its technology into the American market by engaging a sales agent based in the US.

CG1 Solutions has a background in developing and deploying augmented reality, virtual reality and mobile applications in the defence and healthcare markets.

During the March quarter, Singular also appointed several sales partners, including one in China that established an important presence in that country. Yikun Technology became a 3Dicom sales partner and the appointment was soon followed by an initial order for 100 licences for a translated version of the 3Dicom MD from the Yancheng N1 Peoples Hospital.
