Flashpoint - Edition #23

A bold explorer led the charge last week after snapping up a big slice of Brazil’s lithium pie, while a software giant’s take-over bid lit a fire under a tech stock as a WA hopeful going hi-tech got a boost.

FLASHPOINT - TRANSCRIPT

Tim - But first here's Matt Birney with the ASX Runners of the Week.

Tim - Thanks to Argonaut

Matt Birney - Thanks Tim.

Matt Birney - Well Gold Mountain was first out of the blocks this week, doubling from 0.35 of a cent to 0.7 after picking up a big swag of lithium ground in Brazil.

Matt Birney - Vehicle fleet software provider EROAD saw its stock leap nearly 76 per cent after a takeover bid by Canadian heavy-hitter, Constellation Software. That news saw its share price jump from 68 cents to $1.20.

Matt Birney - Estrella Resources wasn’t far off the pace either with a 75 per cent price hike week on week after the market seemed to like its brand new hi-tech approach to an electromagnetic survey for nickel and copper. Its stock touched 1.4c after closing out last week at just 0.88.

Matt Birney - And finally, Mont Royal Resources ran hard from 8.8 to 15c despite drill results from its April drilling campaign in Canada still working their way through the assay lab.

Matt Birney - With a 70 per cent price hike and no announcement in the market, it looks like someone might be punting on the results - and something tells me they just might be out sometime soon.
