Boadicea Resources has been quietly collecting projects – many of which are drill ready – in some of the hottest battery metals regions in WA. Amongst other projects, It holds ground next to the Bald Hill lithium deposit northeast of Norseman and a couple of curious-looking projects in the rapidly developing Lake Johnston lithium region west of Norseman. More recently it picked up 80% of the Two Tanks project north-west of Menzies in the Mt Ida lithium region that is surrounded by lithium occurrences.
RADIO INTERVIEW - TRANSCRIPT
Matt Birney - Welcome to Bulls N' Bears brought to you today by multi-mineral explorer Boadicea Resources.
Matt Birney - ASX code: BOA. I'm Matt Birney and I'm joined now by the Managing Director of Boadicea Resources, Jon Reynolds.
Matt Birney - Hi John.
Jon Reynolds - Yeah good afternoon Matt.
Matt Birney - Okay Jon, Boadicea has just picked up 80 per cent of the Two Tanks project in the Mount Ida region, northwest of Menzies or probably west of Leonora more likely, in the Mount Ida lithium region, a rolled gold lithium region at the moment.
Matt Birney - Just orientate me about this new project, where is it in relation to St George Mining and Red Dirt Metals' recent lithium discoveries?
Jon Reynolds - We've picked a tenement in a great area so we're about 18 kilometres north and a long strike of the Mount Ida lithium deposit which is currently operated by Red Dirt and we're adjacent to the St George Jailbreak prospect, which is less than a few kilometres away so we've picked a super attractive location to be in.
Matt Birney - I think they call it the Copperfield Granite that runs along that greenstone region there, it certainly looks to be well mineralised and just tell me where are your pegmatites in relation to that Granite greenstone contact?
Matt Birney - And what kind of pegmatites are they? Are they the typical LCT pegmatites or have you not got to that stage yet?
Jon Reynolds - Well there's two sets of pegmatites. One parallel to the granite contact that don't appear to be mineralised but one's extending away from the granite, from the Copperfield granite, have certainly got some indicative geo chem as you say the LCT.
Jon Reynolds - Early days from our testing but we have guys on site now having a look at that ground and we'll get some more information shortly with a drill program planned for late this course.
Matt Birney - When I look at it on a map it would appear that the tenement boundary between Boadicea and St George pretty much sort of cuts right through the middle of that pegmatite field.
Matt Birney - Have you studied St George's numbers at their Jailbreak prospect? What sort of lithium results are they getting?
Jon Reynolds - Yeah we're very interested in their drilling, their current drilling, because they are drilling right up to our boundary. That will give us the first indication of the prospectivity and obviously Jailbreak has been indicating grades of up to 1.8 per cent lithium.
Jon Reynolds - There's fertile prospectivity in the short term, it's an exciting prospect for us.
Matt Birney - Jon Reynolds from Boadicea Resources.
Matt Birney - Thanks for joining me on Bulls N' Bears and remember we're only here to give you information not advice which you should of course seek independently.
Matt Birney - I'm Matt Birney and this is Bulls N' Bears.
